Another trip to the little Tesco.

This morning it was terribly foggy and frosty on the ground. When I came to go out most of it was gone but it still looked very dull. I didn't think I'd need to check the weather app because I could see what the weather was like but I looked anyway and it said mostly cloudy but 0% chance of rain. So I wore my grey coat without the hood but I also put my gloves on. I like my gloves. My brother bought them for me one Christmas once and they match my coat perfectly! I went out with my gloves on and decided I would be as quick as I could. When I got to the corner of our street I saw someone had tied a headscarf to the street sign! I decided that if it was still there when I came back I would take it home with me. I got 2 TV magazines as usual, a small packet of mixed nuts and raisins, some Haribo sweets, a bounty bar for my step-dad and some French fancy cakes for my step-dad too. Then I got some pears and some strawberries and then I went to get myself some no added sugar Alpen cereal. There was a shop assistant there and a cage thing In front of the cereal that I wanted, so I had to ask the lady, Can I get to the no sugar Alpen please? So she moved the cage thing a bit so that I could get at it. Then I said thank you very much. After that I only had to get 2 bottles of milk and then I went to pay. It was just over £17 with club card. I set off back home. The headscarf was still on the street sign so I took it off and put it in my trolley. I'm going to wash it on Monday with the rest of the laundry, because it is very mucky, then I'm going to dry it in the tumble dryer, and then the following Friday I'm going to take it to the Oxfam shop with a few other things I'm going to sort out. I got home and put the headscarf in a bag in my bedroom, then I unpacked the groceries and now I'm watching Homes Under the Hammer again while having a good rest and Mylotting. How is your day going so far? I hope you are all well. Have a nice day.

That was clever of your brother to match your gloves to your coat. I have a favourite beanie that I wear in the winter.

Oh, he didn't know! That was a coincidence! It just happened that way! I've got a beanie too but I never wear it.

I'm just about to pop out to run some errands and will probably go to Tesco too. Good idea to pick up the scarf. Many people don't bother to go back to look for lost things, or if they do and they are dirty they don't want to pick them up. I've found all sorts of useful things on the roadside, including two pairs of gloves and a pair of socks as well as several scarves!

Did you get everything you wanted from Tesco? I'm glad I picked up the scarf. It will look a lot better when it's been washed and dried. It was rather soiled, as it has been raining and I think someone probably picked it up off the floor and put it on the sign post as it was muddy too.

@sharonelton Yes, for once I did get absolutely everything on my list! There's a child's woolly hat on a bush just down the lane, someone must have picked it up and hung it there but no-one has retrieved it. If it's still there in a couple more days I'll wash it and give it to a charity shop.

@Fleura Wow! That's good! Is the woolly hat still there? Have you picked it up?

I know that the warm things around the city are for the needy ones. Mostly, for homeless people who can’t afford much. In my city people who have stuff already will never pick them up because someone in need will. Is it that in your city anyone can take them? I am doing fine. We are suffering a lot with finance but I have to sail through it.

I don't know wether anyone would have wanted it the state it was in! When I've washed and dried it it will be much nicer for someone when I take it to the Oxfam shop. It's not like many homeless people would be passing that street sign anyway, they are usually in town.

Fog is pretty if you don't have to go out in it!
