Tuesday Morning Brief

Good morning, myLot! How are you doing today? I've had a busy morning already. I was up at 12:45 and took my morning nap at 5 for 2.5 hours.
Before my nap, I finished my Bible study, played games, and got Christmas cards in the mail, and worked on Where Eagles Soar. After my nap, I went to the post office and got stamps to finish my Christmas cards and went to Walgreens for more Christmas cards and found a cozy pair of slippers. I buy my slippers from Walgreens. Now, I'm eating breakfast at 11 AM. It should probably be brunch.
I also need to get my tree out of the storage closet and set it up and get it trimmed.

I got a MAJOR blessing. My car’s wheel bearings need replacing, but it’s under warranty. Praise God!!!
I’m watching severe weather coverage online right now. It’s in Louisiana at the moment.

I had a doctor appointment early this morning. Traffic into Springfield wasn't bad. We missed the morning rush hour but coming home put us into the noon rush hour. I hated that! We got home, ate and went to bed. It was 71F when I went to sleep about 1 pm and when I woke up at about 4 pm, it was 40F and dropping. It is 32F at 10:20 pm and still dropping. There is a strong breeze that isn't helping the matter any.

@just4him Oh, yeah! We're at 16F this morning and it feels chilly in the house, even though the temp is set for 73F in here. The sound of the wind is making me feel cold!
You would have liked it here at 11 pm last night. It was snowing although there's no evidence of it this morning.

Wow! Your temps dropped fast. I think ours did too. When I got up this morning, the wind was howling at 30 mph with a 13-degree drop in temp.
I'm glad you missed rush hour on your trip to Springfield. I don't like rush hour either and do what I can to avoid it. Sometimes it's not possible.
Yes, yesterday was a good day. Today should be too.

Nothing exciting here for me. Still dealing with lingering effects of the flu, so I have been up to much lately. I did watch an exciting hockey game last night where my Tampa Bay Lightning beat the Buffalo Sabres in OT, and tonight the Lightning will be matching up against the Boston Bruins, who are undefeated at home so far this season. I'm hoping my team can hand Boston its first home loss of the season!

You've been busy! Glad you got a comfy slippers! My day going good. Went to Marukai Wholesale Mart nearby, got sale items and dinner, long rice. Putting off farther away store shopping for sunnier day.

Wow that is early to be up! I barely go to bed before then on week nights. I didn't know walgreens has slippers - but don't shop there much

Yes, it is, but I go to bed early too on most nights. I really like the slippers and quality I find at Walgreens.

Your morning was busy. I didn't have as much energy as I did yesterday but I did get a couple of things done, vacuumed, and did a small load of laundry.
Glad you found some slippers you like. Your post reminds me I need to get busy with Christmas cards. Hope your evening is blessed.
