In other words, what do you like the most? Although I love my big walk in, the feature I really like the most in the large pantry in the kitchen. It has 5 deep wooden shelves, plus a storage space at the bottom. I absolutely love the size of it, as I can put lots of things in there. What is the favorite thing in your house or apartment that you love?

I guess I like the fact that the washer and dryer are right here. At the house they were in the basement so I would put off doing laundry for as long as possible.

I like my family room best. The large French door leading out to the garden, the fireplace inside. It is a big room, I enjoy staying there.

@LadyDuck It's funny how you fall in love with certain things and just have to have it. I liked everything about this house. However, if I knew then all the crap I would have to endure here, I wouldn't have bought it...hindsight is always 20/20.

@snowy22315 - The fireplace was already there when we bought the house, I immediately liked that family room. I would say that I insisted to buy this house because of the family room.

There isn't really much that I love about this place but I do hate the laundry! I've found it hard moving to a smaller place.

Maybe the place you picked was too small. I know if I move, I can't give up a lot in terms of space. I need my space.

@snowy22315 We need to be here really. As retirement villages go, it's a very good one and I'll get used to its 'smallness'.

@snowy22315 I have 4 things. The view is one. Then there is my air purifier and then the TV and computer.

I like my bedroom carpet but I think the staircase I like the most even if the railing at the top got messed up so the spindles won’t stay in correctly. Ignore all the clutter on the desk that my husband put there when she started remodeling the dining room. Reminds me I want new lights for that room. My mother gave me that set and I hate them. I’d love your walk in pantry!

That sounds like a nice feature. When I was looking for a place in Harrisonburg, I noticed that some of the houses had great views of the mountains. I didn't like the houses though it was either people swarming about everywhere and jammed together or old. I missed the cute spacious condos they were gone in a heartbeat.

I like everything we moved from a four bedroom to a two bedroom. Les rooms to clean and no going up and down stairs.

The feature I love the most is that in the entire home, I have only ONE step. Just one. That is the step to enter the garage from the hallway. It's so nice, I lived in a home for years that had the washer and dryer in a creepy damp basement with ridiculous stairs. There were stairs everywhere. I don't miss them.

Yes, stairs can be a pain in the neck. I used to live in a townhouse before I came here, and whatever I needed at the time, was always on a different level...

Our is small. It's too crowded. Nothing is worth except our bedroom.
