So, friend and I went to see some music on Saturday in a new place about a half hour from here. The band was basically 3 guys with a guitar, base, and the 3rd guy was playing a box for a percussive effect. It even had a microphone attached. Interesting, but not the most unusual instrument I have seen. Several years ago, I went to see music and they were playing some kind of blow pipe or something I had never seen before..but on TV I have seen people playing, shovels and saws, water glasses and so forth..interesting..What is the most unusual instrument you have seen played live or on TV?

Leaves, really? I guess dry leaves could make a neat rustling sound. I have seen jugs played on TV before, but not in person.

@snowy22315 Not dry leaves, freshly cut leaves.

@LadyDuck How did they use them? Maybe they blew on them...like how you can make a whistle out of a blade of grass. My grandfather showed me that.

@RebeccasFarm That might have worked too, I suppose...but they probably didn't want to look that tacky..

I don't think so, I have seen a Didgeridoo on TV, but then who knew they had small sized ones? Not me,

Yep, I have seen the spoons too. I guess they are sort of like castanets.

In tv, a very nice sounding instrument, I think it's called a steel drum.

I would have to say using a saw as an instrument was pretty weird. I've seen the water glasses too, that's pretty neat.

Yes, the right kind of saw is flexible and makes a nice twang.
