Hubs is looking into getting a hearing aid. Maybe now he will quit yelling at me for "mumbling" and "not talking loud enough". I have a call into our insurance company to see what the procedure will be for getting partial reimbursement.
Had to order a new phone system for the house. Our VTech phone system started to have a loud buzzing noise that got louder and louder as you were on a call. Replaced it with an AT&T set up. Purchased a 4-year warranty on the phones since the VTech system only lasted 2 years.
105 days until spring.
Breakfast - Peanut butter bar
Lunch - Meals on Wheels - Chicken Alfredo, noodles, broccoli, mixed veggies and pears
Dessert/Snack - Pumpkin pie with a ton of Cool Whip and decaf coffee
Dinner - Peanut butter bars
What did you eat yesterday?

The weather doesn't start getting better until March. I can't wait either.

@wolfgirl569 and @LindaOHio Hubby has had hearing aids twice. Twenty years ago or so he went with a set from Miracle Ear. They were pretty impressive, as they stuck a camera into your ear canal. Bob did not find them very satisfactory. The ones the VA gave him are wonderful. The audiologist emphasized that he will still hear best when he can see the moving mouth that goes with the words. All of that is hard if people are still wearing masks.

Medical Mutual said that we have excellent hearing aid coverage. How are you feeling?

@LindaOHio I feel the same the past few days.
Our son facetimed with us a little while ago and he really read me the riot act for being so short of breath.
But it is a process and I am working thru it, he seems to think that I should take a leave and just stay in bed, but that will not allow my lungs to heal and it will drive me cuckoo.

VTech phones are okay but the AT&T phones are better... Pretty and I had both brands over the years and the AT&T phones lasted longer than the VTech phones by several years. (We haven't had a home phone in about 15 years.)
Uhm... I had a sausage, egg and cheese croissant for breakfast and half a beef and Cheddar sandwich for lunch. I didn't eat supper yesterday. I am getting hungry this morning. I think, if we had half a steer in our fridge, I'd roast him for breakfast.
We have really thick fog outside this morning... I'm glad we don't have to go anywhere today.
I hope you have a wonderful day.

You'll be surprised to hear that the AT&T phones I bought are made by VTech!!! Did you have 1/2 steer for breakfast? Thanks. You have a wonderful day too.

I don’t have a landline anymore. We all use our smartphones now.
Yesterday was a fast-food day for dinner. We got so busy putting up our Christmas decorations in the yard that we didn’t make time to cook anything, so I just ran and got chicken sandwiches for everyone from McDonalds.

My hubby has been doing pretty well using cheap hearing gadgets- can't call them hearing aids cause they are not prescribed and do NOT cost thousands. His one ear is beyond help but due to this hearing enhancer gizmo he can hear some out of one. I wish your hubby the best in hearing more sounds, including your voice.

@LindaOHio Insurance can be such a painful thing. We figured trying out a hundred dollar hearing gizmo wouldn't lose us that much if it didn't work. But it has helped some.

@sallypup From what the hearing aid rep said, we will pay $999 for a hearing aid that can cost up to $10,000. Personally I think it's a rip-off. Hubs was just going to try one of the OTC hearing aids.

Hubs was going to buy an OTC hearing aid; but when I called about the insurance, we found out he has to go the whole route of going to an ENT specialist and then buy the hearing aid from them.

Hearing aids are great if the user wears them. My mom has been guilty of "cheating," and it drives everyone nuts. But can't force her to use them of course.
For dinner we had some leftover chili from Sunday so we had chili dogs. We still have a ton of chili left. lol

Yellow split peas and the cats like it too. BTW I did not know that you have to pay for Meals on Wheels. See since I live mostly from SS to SS and always try to add more to my money pot it does not work for me because I just would not have the extra money. Silly me thought for some reason it was a free service.

We are having trouble with our phones; but I think she said $999. She said they cost up to $10,000. I had heard $4,500. I'm afraid these places overcharge because they know you have insurance.
