About a month ago I went to the ER because I had a hellacious cough and fever. They told me I had acute bronchitis and I got prescriptions. Wellllllllll I still have a cough, and it has gotten constantly worse for the last week or two. So after the last day or so when it got even worse. We decided this morning we would go to the ER. When we got there, they did all kinds of tests and decided I needed an Xray and a breathing treatment. So we spent a lot of time there, because the chick in respiratory apparently didn't want to do her job, and after being there 40 minutes, then waiting another forty minutes for the tests to come back, then waiting an hour for the respiratory chick to come to bring me my treatment and an hour treatment. IT took forever. They sent me home with a z pack, prednisone and an inhaler. I have fluid in my lungs. So this is supposed to clear it up in about a week. Here's hoping.

@thislittlepennyearns I had walking pneumonia one year and couldn't drop my classes because it was too late in the semester. I had to use a nebulizer every so often, but I also had a lot of Vicks on my chest. I don't know if it made a difference in reality (the Vicks), but I felt like I was doing something helpful.

@thislittlepennyearns Yes I think I had something called Advair and it was the only thing that helped and let me breath and stop coughing...the inhaler name I mean.

That's scary. I hope you get well super soon. I finally talked hubby into going to the E R. We ended up being there from 2:30 afternoon to about midnight. Jam packed and two nurses and two docs.

That's so rude if the woman get you waiting just because she didn't want to get on with it. I hope your chest and cough clear up soon.
