It Is Very Serious

I have seen dehydration in action. A couple of different times friends were in serious trouble due to dehydration. Near-death due to not drinking enough water. My grandson is having issues because he isn't drinking enough water. Pop, tea, coffee, liquor, or juice is not water. They have some in them but you still need to drink water. What does drinking 2 liters( or half a gallon) of water a day get you? More energy, proper function of all your organs, healthy and glowing skin, and not getting enough H20 can result in a medical condition called chronic dehydration. Lack of proper hydration can be life-threatening.
Being dehydrated can cause some serious problems. Here is a list of them:
* Headaches
* Low blood pressure(can lead to shock)
* Constipation
* Dry skin
* Vertigo
* Dizzy, light-headedness(can lead to fainting)
* Short term memory(in some cases)
* Pounding, palpitations, and irregular heartbeats
* Dark urine is a sign of dehydration(it should be the color of lemonade)

I am very guilty of not drinking enough water. My kidney function is always down when I'm tested. I need to change that.

@LindaOHio ......Put some flavoring in it then. Lemon, cucumber, or other fruit. Whatever you like.

@celticeagle I've tried those drops and don't care for those. Maybe I'll try the fruit.

Many people think anything counts for liquid.

Yes, and everything takes water to make. Or most do. But that doesn't mean it really does the same as what water does for us.

@celticeagle Sugar and caffeine both interfere with using the water.

My doctor did a urine test on me the last time I had labs, and she said, “You drink enough water! One of the few patients I have who does!”
