She said she'd be by with a check... / myLot

I just got a text from my boss telling me she'd be by with a check tomorrow. She also asked if there was anything she could get me. I told her I wouldn't mind some chicken noodle soup, as I haven't got any soup in the house. I'm tempted to ask her if she knows where my bank is and ask if she's heading that way if she could deliver the presents. That would be one less place that I would have to go tomorrow. If she can't, she can't, but if she asks if there's anything else I need...I'll see what happens.

Reading your posts makes me think of my Mom. We used to tease her about being from the "frozen North" and she would say, "I probably couldn't take that cold anymore. I've lived down here longer than I lived in Canada, you know. "
