Luck but No Luck

We had our Division Christmas Celebration yesterday. Its a big annual celebration which are attended by all schools in our city. It is an event which is well-attended because of the food, entertainment, awarding and giving recognition to achievers and appreciation to retired personnel. The highlight of the event was the raffle. I don't usually attend this event and even if I did, I never finished the whole event. When my colleagues and I were on our way there, we already decided that we were not going to stay long. Anyway, I said, I never got luck to raffle. After two hours of staying in the event, my friend and I decided to leave. When I got home after a couple of hours, a lot of my colleagues texted and called me because I won a big 4-burner oven! My friends told me that my name was first called as a winner. But sad to say it was forfeited because I was not around so it was decided to pick another winner. What a day! Had you experienced the same? Just went to the bakery before going home to enjoy it over a cup of coffee. Photo is mine
