If you decided to do something and your friends strongly advised you not to, would you do it anyway? Explain ...

I try to choose friends who are intelligent and make wise choices. If my friends strongly advised me not to do something I would ask them to explain their reasoning. Sometimes the people around us see things more clearly than we can see for ourselves. If they are truly a friend they should have your best interests in mind.

That's very good reasoning. You are right, sometimes others can see things that it's too hard for us to see or maybe that we just don't want to see.

I'm with loved on this one. If my friends are strongly advising me not to do something I would ask why and take that into consideration. My friends can see things better then I can, so their thoughts and opinions on things are very important to me. They only want what's best.

It depends. But I try to listen and convince myself. I always try to make a pros and cons list. Then its easier to take any decision.

Ultimately we have to make our own choices.

That sounds like the most sensible thing to do.

I'll do whatever my heart will say to me. We should take of our friends but also do whatever our heart says to us. I think we should prefer the decisions of our Parents than friends. If my friends advised to n't do to any that thing which my heart will like to do. I'll simply prefer my heart's choice n't of my friends.

There are few friends that would tell do that to me. They trust my judgement and if by chance I should fall...they are there to pick me up. That is a true friend.

Wouldn't you want them to tell you, though, if they thought you were messing up?

they use to have a big part in influencing me but I am no longer friends with them I was in to some bad stuff at that time. I think your friends can make you who you are to a certant point but if you pick the wright ones you will go down the wright path and wont get in to any trouble. I have cut off all the bad ones and i am doing great now i ended it early befor it did get me into trouble big trouble. take it from me your friend can influence you but you have the choice to walk away.

You have made a really good point here. We need to chose our friends wisely.

It would depend what it is but majority of the time I do still do it, as I am capable to make up my own mind. Don't get me wrong I take advise from Friends but I will never do something that I have not thought over. Before I do anything at all I will always think it over first I will never do anything on the Spur of the moment.

I believe in proverb "A Friend in need is a friend indeed". when i feel distress, i talk to my friend and discuss elaborately. if he has strong opinion then i accept to it. so in my life friend has a immense value.

Once after my divorce I wanted to travel to meet a friend, one of my best friends tried her best to talk me out of it. She was afraid the friendship would turn into a relationship and that I was not ready for that at the time. I ended up not going, but not because of my friend. I told her she was wasting her breath, I was going to do what I wanted to do anyway. But in the end, I am glad I did not go.

my friends have a lot of influences on me. they are sooo important, they're funny, they're fun to hang out with , and they are just good friends to me. they tell me if im doing somethin stupid or something that could be bad for me and that shows me that they care about me.
