Are You a Napper?

I'm finding out interesting things about napping. I thought it was a sign of age to feel like you need a daily nap. I was wrong. Studies have shown that a nap can help you remember things learned earlier in the day. One can also help you to remember things like verbal recall, motor skills, and sensory perception. Naps can also lift your mood, ease stress, and make you more alert.
So no need to feel lazy or old for indulging in an afternoon nap.

@celticeagle I’m a napper and proud of it. I could fall asleep on a clothes line during the day, but the one place I can’t get over to sleep is in bed. Just can’t do it. Anytime.

I like napping in a pool of sunshine, just like a cat.

I take naps every day and I definitely don't believe I'm "old". When I was working at Walmart, I took a half hour nap every day during my hour lunch break. I'd read and eat my lunch for half an hour and then put my head down on the table and sleep until my alarm woke me up. Then I'd go back to work.

When I worked at the telephone company they had a room we could use that had a bed in it where we could take a nap if we needed to.

@celticeagle Oh, that would be nice. Walmart actually had two sofas in the break room some people took naps on. I don't breathe very well if I'm lying down without my CPAP machine so I preferred to put my head down on the table.

@celticeagle My Dad, a farmer, would lie down and nap for 15 or 20 minutes every day when he came in from the fields for dinner at noon time. I was raised by nappers so it only came natural to me to nap. But I never nap for more than 20 minutes.

I've been a napper all my life. For me it's not a matter of age. Although, I do have to set an alarm so I don't overdo it and can sleep later at night.
(And I realize this is an older post. I'm looking for something I did back in our around 2016. I thought maybe looking at tags would get me there faster but maybe not).

@celticeagle thanks. Another option might be to just look at the picture editor on my desktop and see if it still does what I'm thinking I want to try to do again.

I have trouble sleeping. I always hoped that when I retired I could take a lot of naps; but that didn't happen.
