Friday Morning Brief

Good morning from a warm Green Bay, Wisconsin. We broke records yesterday at 51 F (10.5 C). My snow is almost gone. It's looking green this morning with a wake-up temp of 45 F (7.2 C).
This morning is starting out well with Bible study and games. I even remembered to take my medication.
My plans today include grocery shopping. I'm tired of looking at a bare fridge and wondering what I'm going to eat. I have plenty of eggs, but not much else. I do have the turkey/stuffing casserole I made a couple of days ago and I can turn the turkey broth into soup. So, I'm not completely without food. But, I have no bananas. I still have fish in the freezer, so I'm not completely out of food. But, I have no bananas. If the only thing I go to the store for is bananas, I will be a happy person and can enter 2023 as a happy camper. I will get other food also, but my priority is bananas.
I will also work on Love's Illusions. I won't finish this year as planned. I could if I rushed the ending and made it a mediocre book and well below my expectations. That won't happen. I will be completely happy with the book when I finish.
I will also do the end-of-the-year cleaning. It won't take long. There's not much to do, but I will wash the floors. That won't take long either.
This morning is the exercise group at 8:30. Then I'll get out for the groceries and get the cleaning done before I get back on the computer. I can see myself eating a banana this morning. It's been three days since my last banana. I'm going through withdrawal.
That's how my day is shaping up. How about you? How is your day shaping up two days before the end of the year? Thanks for reading. The image belongs to me. From the Botanical Gardens Festival of Lights show.

I don't have this problem. I have a chest freezer, a freezer in the fridge in the garage and of course one in the kitchen fridge, and they are all overflowing. Plus I have two pantries. One in the kitchen and one in the basement. I keep well stocked up all the time. It's just a thing with me. I prefer to buy most things not when I need them, but when they are on sale and cheap.

@just4him That's an uphill for you. I know you can do it through research and reading some romance books.

I've never heard of banana withdrawal but I can imagine it, I eat raspberries in my cereal and when I am out I am not a happy camper.

Hope you were able to get out and get your bananas. I love bananas too but don't have any so I had my cereal this morning without a banana.
Nothing much going on here today. I'm having groceries delivered this afternoon since neither my daughter nor I want to venture out to the store. I love the convenience of delivery.
I know this weekend is going to be gone in the blink of an eye so I want to wish you an early Happy and Healthy New Year

Yes, I have my bananas. No more withdrawal. I'm sorry you had cereal without a banana. I hope you had your coffee. I don't need you going through coffee withdrawal.
Delivery is nice, but they don't pick it like they were buying for themselves. It was okay, but I prefer doing my own shopping.
Yes, it will be 2023 before you can blink. Happy New Year to you too. I hope you and your family are healthy in the coming year.
