I Had A Rough Night.

Yeah, last night and this morning weren’t that great for me. As some of you may know, I had Covid about two weeks ago. I’ve since tested negative, but I’m dealing with a lingering cough (which isn’t a surprise considering this happens with an ordinary cold as well). I did call my doctor today and he sent a prescription over, which I’ll pick up tomorrow. I’ve had over-the-counter medicine, but it didn’t work as well as I had hoped, and I’m just about out of it anyway. So last night, it took me a while to fall asleep because of my cough and what post-nasal drip. I was constantly drinking water at that. I was eventually able to fall asleep though. And then, I woke up feeling a little creeped out over a dream (that I’d rather not discuss). Doodles (my dog) needed to go outside, and I remember feeling my heart pounding as I was walking through the house. I had turned the TV off before falling asleep previously, but it was turned back on for a little while (The Golden Girls, of course) so that I could just chill out a bit before falling back to sleep. When I woke back up a few hours later, I was a little dizzy. I don’t know why, but maybe I was just tired and not ready to be awake. It eventually passed and I was able to doze back off at some point, but it was still annoying. So yeah, I slept maybe 2-3 hours at a time, most likely just an hour or an hour and a half the first time, so it was a rough night and morning for me. Right now, I’m working on a few writing orders, and then I’m gonna feed the dogs and hit the hay. I still want to post my fully decorated Peanuts tree (which I’ve since put away), as well as my 2023 goals, but that’s not happening tonight. In fact, this is the only post I’m planning to make tonight. With that said, you all have a good night/morning, stay safe and take care. Photo Credit: Pixabay.

This last visit to the ER I was told that what they said was RSV the last time, was probably actually Covid. And i have lung damage and a bunch of other stuff, so I know exactly how you feel. I posted a long post about that.

I coughed severely the other night, feeling there was a small feather tickling my throat, that dry cough because of which I thought I would cough my lungs out. Those socalled experts said it was just a big cold but it turned out almost everybody has symptoms of fever, muscle aches and throatache and the loss of taste.

@tammys85 Yeah it was because of covid, I'm feeling better now. I got the symptoms like fever, muscle pains and fatigueness about 10 days ago, it was the first morning that I feel hungry and enjoyed my breakfast.

@maggiesunjuan Gotcha. I had Covid the week before Christmas. I've tested negative since then, but I'm still dealing with a cough. I'm glad you're feeling better!

I'm sorry. Was it Covid? I'm only asking because you mentioned the loss of taste, but you don't have to tell me if you don't want to.

I hope you get well soon to be able to sleep soundly and be up and about. Covid is really something else. It's good you tested negative already. Cough would really give a restless sleep. In my case, I usually boil crushed ginger and drink the liquid. I mix it with some lemon and sugar to make it less bitter and drink it while still tolerably hot. It's good if you don't have allergies to the substances. Get well soon to enjoy your new year.

Sorry to hear that you were having dizziness. I hope that's not gastric or migraine. Usually, gastritis or gastric symptom is dizziness and eventually, upper stomach will hurt.

@tammys85 I didn't know that overtired would make you dizzy. Maybe I ever experience it, but just not realise it.

@Adie04 I don't know, I'm just guessing. It happened as soon as I woke up, and I was already having trouble sleeping. It passed once I was able to get some rest.
