The pastor's wife offered to get me my medicine for my cough/cold/flu thing, and at first, I wasn't sure they'd let her (I never had someone else get my medication) but they evidently did. When she came to the door, she handed me a little bottle of pills with a medication name I wasn't expecting. Me: ??? (I was also expecting a syrup stuff rather than pills for some reason). The pastor's wife said that that was all they had, and maybe to call them. I did, and sure enough, what I had was what I was supposed to have. I've taken one, and hopefully now this will be on its way to going completely away.

Benzonatate? Love that stuff. Works so well for me. And the VA actually let me pick up my brother’s covid meds when he had it. He called and told them I’d be picking it up. I had a copy of his VA card. Plus, he’s on file there as my emergency contact…so I had no trouble. I’m glad your pastor’s wife also was able to get your meds for you!

How do you know what it is? Doesn't show on the label.

@BarBaraPrz — I apologize. That was meant as a question, not a statement. But, benzonatate is the primary cough pill. It’s a pretty old medicine. In fact, when they gave it to me for bronchitis It worked so well that I asked why they HADN’T been giving it to me. Of course, not every medication is for every person. I can’t take the covid meds, for example, because I also take statins. But that covid medication worked very well for my brother when he had it.

That's an odd looking cap.

Those are our dual caps. You can screw the exposed area in as a “regular” cap if you don’t have young children in the house, or you use it as shown as a “locking” cap to keep the meds safe from kids. Or, they could have been out of regular caps and borrowed something from the shelf.

@FourWalls My meds often come with that kind of cap. It's all one piece.

Oh that is good Stacey hope this works now. Yes, my housing caseworker was able to pick up my meds for me once.

Well, it's just that this place has such stringent rules about other things.

You got a kind and helpful neighbor by the pastor's wife. You're so fortunate.
