Renewing our acquaintance with Dixie

Back in 2022, I wrote about house-sitting Dixie, a dog, and Jimmy, a cockatoo. Their home is only a few miles from here. A few evenings ago, we had their owners over to dinner and yesterday, the lady passed through while she was out for a ride. As you can see, Dixie came along for the run. It was quite early in the morning as it was going to get much hotter later. We will be going back there in August and look forward to taking Dixie for walks but they won’t be as long as the ones she has following the horse. Dixie also came along to the dinner and slept on the lawn most of the time.

@Fleura It's has stayed hot even after 6pm and we were going to have another swim but there is lot of lightning to the north so we tried to take photos instead. I don't fancy being in the pool during a thunderstorm.

Most are like small vacations. We've had another lovely swim today and now there is nothing to do until we need to shut the chooks up a bit later.

Dixie could go all over the farm on her own if she wanted to but she just stays at the house. However, she always gets excited when we take her for a walk. I guess she likes to have company when she goes out! lol

It's an easy place to manage so it will be good. The only downside is that it will be winter and it's a very cold house.

Dixie is the dog and I've written about her in other posts. Sometimes discussions get too long if I give too much information. I'll try to make it clearer next time.
