I am mylotting a bit and waiting for Claudia to arrive. In a few moments I will take out some goodies from the fridge just in case she wants some.
Tania just called me to tell me that her sauces had been a great success yesterday. Most of the other people had brought boughen things so those home made dips were liked by everyone.
I started to make my own dips when my husband died. Before, I bought good cheeses, olives and canapes. But he was the main provider and I wanted to live the rest of my life well. So I discovered that I could make better dips with a little work instead of buying everything at the supermarket. My friends have always applauded my idea.
I know that some of you are good cooks. Do you make your own appetizers when you have company?

Good morning... When Pretty and I invited guests, I always made everything myself. I love to cook for friends and like surprising them with the different things I made.
We haven't had company since the pandemic began. I'm still nervous about catching anything. I've found I like not catching everything that goes through the local population. (This last week I've been sick for the first time in three years and we're sure I caught whatever it was when I took Pretty to the hospital. I'd rather not catch anything again.)

I discovered a long time ago that even junk food is more expensive than a good dinner made at home.

I'm not good at cooking things, so i will buy it when we have company. But we rarely have company since Pandemic, so my wife dont cook a lot, if she want to buy something, i will buy it for her.
By the way, Good Morning Marguicha, enjoy your Saturday, its 8:04 PM here, i will enjoying mylot for a while before go to bed at 9 or 10 PM.

I had to chuckle realizing that it has been ages since I made anything for the company, But in Latvia, I was the one to prepare food for any celebration and even made my mother-in-law's 80th birthday party. Now I just make something to eat for myself,

I used to love to cook and bake. Now that I can't I miss it very much. I'm glad that Tania's sauces were enjoyed.
