No, I did not go to Mazatlan, Mexico like @TheSojourner and @LouAvul did.
Yesterday we traveled to my mother in law's senior home. She lives in a very clean, ritzy area - with lots of beautiful parks and shopping centers.
In the late afternoon, we took her on a lovely walk halfway around a nearby lake. It was warm and cool at the same time - a nice nature break for all of us.
We had an early dinner at a Mexican restaurant with heated outdoor patio seating. The menu made me smile as I saw "Mazatlan" all over it (for instance as in Mazatlan shrimp). I was certainly not in Mazatlan, Mexico . . . but I guess I did get a little taste of it

! Do they have seafood items at Lucy's (I think that was the name of your favorite Mex restaurant?).
The one and only time I went to Mexico was when I was 5!

Pretty would love the shrimp, I'm sure.
I don't need to see anything to think of friends on myLot. I tell Pretty about friends and the jokes we tell and the teases that work and that fail.

For me mylot is quite real. Many of ny friends here have helped me in times of need. I live alone and myLot is part of my dayly life.

I think she did have a good time. My mother in law lives in a very nice senior home that takes care of everything . . . and my sister in law lives nearby. But she does not get to see us often because we live nearly a 2 hours drive away. So when we do see her, we try to take her somewhere and catch up with her all we can.

@changjiangzhibin89 Right. My daughter still goes to her art program at a college on weekends, so that is about 1/3 of the way . . . it is easier for us if we visit on those days. We saw her in December and now this month . . . but we don't see her that often. We will try to go more often though . . . as we know, we can never know about "tomorrow".

Yes, I think of myLotters all the time! When California was having the bad weather I worried about KelliM and TheHorse. All of the Florida myLotters were in my prayers when Ian hit last year (and, later, Nicole).

"A little taste of Mazatlan." Yep, a lot of things remind me of myLot and the people here. myLot has become such a big part of my daily life how can I not? From the good and bad, to the mean and ugly, it is a great site with diversity galore, is culture rich, and just a great place to be.
Not a day goes by.
That being said, due to the nature of what I do here, I am certain even I become the topic of conversation in certain circles. My ears are ringing all the time. lol

I admit it's part of my daily life too. I often say it's like an ongoing party here . . . you can mingle a little, or a lot - at any time you are able. There's a good mix of folks here from all sides.

@much2say I don't know if they are ringing or burning or a little bit of both. But I definitely sometimes lend myself to a LOT of outside talk.
By design a lot of the time. It's my brand. It's my schtick. lol
But yes. You are spot on. I agree this is the best place online to hang out with people—ALL of them. The good, bad and ugly. I have a place for each and every one of them.
Well, except the ones I ignore of course. lol

MIL was very happy ... she rarely gets to see us as it's kinda far to get there (and she doesn't come out our way).
