In my opinion, that would depend on how the copule handles their financial issues like who's supposed to earn money. If they are both educated and capable of earning, why not both? I think that situation is very common nowadays and I know a lot of married couples who do just that.

I think most couples work best when both contribite to the household, but for some its cheaper to have one stay at home and make sure the household is run effectively and frugally. Every couple is different and what works for one may not necessarily work for another.

From the current situation , i think husband and wife should earn money together in order to survive in the soceity such as singapore yea ... the demand is so high out here

Well It depends on How the situations are, If the husband don't make enough money, than the wife should help too. But if the husband is making good money, than I guess the wife should just stay in the house and enjoy.
