I like garlic. I mean I really like it. I like it sauteed or roasted. In my many years on this Earth, I had never heard(that I recall) that it could be used in sweet desserts. I learned something new. At the bottom, I have included a link to several desserts in case you are interested. Garlic has been used down through the ages for tick bites, digestion, and for respiratory issues. It has also been used to help with preventing the common cold, stomach ulcers, cancer, and for problems with circulation in the legs. The average amount of calories in 100mg.(or 11 3/5 tablespoons) of garlic is 149. The amount of protein in that amount is 6.4g. It has 0.5g. of and, 33.1g. of carbs. China produces about 80% of our world's supply.

@celticeagle I bought garlic for planting today. I’ll plant it next week and lift it in July. No Chinese garlic for me. I love the stuff and would chew it raw but for the offence it would cause my wife.

Half a gram of nothing? I remember when I was a child (way back at the dawn of time) a cold remedy that consisted of warm milk, butter and garlic...

Interesting. My mom's cold remedy was lemon, honey, and whiskey.

My husband and I love garlic too. I always have fresh garlic I use and he always uses the minced kind in a big jar. I don’t think I would want to try it in a dessert though.

I love garlic . . . and we use it for when we feel sick too. But interesting about it as a dessert ingredient . . . I can't even imagine how that would be!
