Okay, when did I order???

I was answering a post to my discussion and my doorbell rang. I got up, answered the door and it was the postman. There is a rather large box at my door. The mailman stated "It's for you, a package". I must have looked really confused. I don't remember ordering anything, especially anything "Medical". I have the box at my feet and am wondering it it's safe to open. I've watched too many murder mysteries to not think of a bomb or the like. I'm curious, but I am not so curious that I am going to immediately open the box. I want to catch the bus to the pharmacy so I can do my shopping quickly and come home. The cats are safely sleeping in the bedroom in the back of the apartment, so if the box explodes, they won't be hurt. Not that it will really explode-the Post Office wouldn't deliver it if they discovered explosives in the box. But I still have a semi suspicious mind. What do you think?

I would be hesitant in opening it, too. Can you contact the business on the address label? That could possibly shed some light on the subject. Have you been to the Dr. lately, or have your cats been to the vet recently? I am trying to think of reasons someone would ship unknown medical supplies to you. So much weird stuff going on, it's understandable why you are hesitant.

I summoned up my courage, and opened the package. It is support supplies for a person's ankles, knees, wrists, elbows, and if I remember correctly also the neck and back. The supports are super heavy, and if I were to use them I would be very busy setting off metal detectors! Unfortunately contacting the supplier is a bit tough over the weekend, especially since it came from Florida. I checked the paperwork and haven't any clue as to who ordered the stuff and why I'm getting the stuff. But it kind of fits with the way the month has gone.

@BearArtistLady How strange is that? I guess the most important thing is, that it wasn't charged to you!

I was hoping for something exciting. But as usual it was kind of disappointing. I opened the box while the cats were in the bathroom where it's kind of safe. The worst that could happen is they get wet from the toilet water splashing on them if the box blows up. Well, the box didn't blow up for one thing, the next thing is that the box contained support equipment for my ankles, knees, wrists, elbows and if I remember correctly also my back and neck. They are heavier than a tank! It was a bit disappointing when I opened it, especially when I saw that it took nearly 2 years to get to me. It was sent Priority Mail! I would have loved a different kind of surprise...not one that screams "Hey, you're getting old!!!" Well at least there wasn't a bill.

Open it outside, or see where it's from? Maybe that'll trigger your memory.

It came from a medical supply house. I finally opened it and it's support things for a person's ankles, knees, wrists, elbows and if I remember correctly their back. The stuff is super heavy, like a 1970 garbage truck. It's a wonder that the Postman didn't get a hernia bringing it up to my apartment. It took two years for the package to catch up with me...so there is no telling who ordered the stuff. It could have been one of my doctors. I know I didn't.

I summoned up all my courage and opened the box. There was a packing slip inside and it was stuff for supporting my arms, ankles, knees and elbows. I don't remember ordering anything like that, so it could have been one of the doctors I went to. Anyhow the supporters are heavy as a SUV!!! I couldn't believe the weight!!! But there is no bill enclosed with the package, and it has taken nearly 2 years to get to me. So....I don't know if I owe anything or not. But at least it didn't blow up.

Being me, I would have opened it. I wouldn't have considered that it might be a bomb.
