Yeah, it's stupid to put dogs in the back of pickup trucks, many lose their lives because the owners are careless drivers and when a pickup hits a bump the pups could be catapulted upward and while the truck may still be driving that pup is not and ends up on the road often run over by cars following that pickup.
Sure, I thought these pups were beautiful but would you put your child in the back of one? If not than why put a dog in one?
Ok, I'm done ranting.
I was in the Sams parking lot when I saw these beauties and I pray no harm came to any of them.
I was in the local Sams parking lot when I saw these 4 pups in the back of a pickup and so well behaved, only one of them barked.

@rebelann There are many pickup trucks here, but haven't seen anyone put dogs in the back of them.

I see dogs in the back of trucks often. I agree that it is very dangerous.

I believe in Lake Charles it is forbidden for dogs to be placed in the back of an open truck.

Why can't the administration of the city stop them to do this. Animal activists too react.

They do but they are not a large group and getting people to sign petitions is not easy here.

@rebelann It's for the animal activists to scream for a law.

I don't know why people do that. It isn't safe for the dogs at all.

What beautiful dogs. I would never endanger my dogs like that.

Yes, I think that is irresponsible of the dog owner.

Everyone thinks "It couldn't happen to me". Riding in the open can cause them to get stuff in their eyes as well.

Yeah, if dogs hang their heads out to catch the wind then anything could happen to their eyes. I'm just glad I don't have a pickup truck ..... well, not really, I could use a pickup sometimes for hauling the recycle bags to the recycle center

I used to see a work truck that probably belonged to a ranch. Very little room in the back of that open pickup due to tool boxes and such. Always had a Blue Heeler hanging on back there by his or her toenails, too. Made me mad and worried every time I'd see them barreling around a corner.

Yes, there should be a law against it but so far this country loves dogs but won't do anything to protect them from this kind of 'abuse' ..... I realize many dogs love to go for rides and if they're on a ranch or farm this might not be so bad because the trucks they're in aren't going that fast plus if they do either fall or jump out the ground isn't as hard as a pavement like a typical road or an interstate.
