Stupid human tricks......

I saw these 4 dogs in the back of a pickup on Jan 18 and had to get a shot and video of them

Yeah, it's stupid to put dogs in the back of pickup trucks, many lose their lives because the owners are careless drivers and when a pickup hits a bump the pups could be catapulted upward and while the truck may still be driving that pup is not and ends up on the road often run over by cars following that pickup. Sure, I thought these pups were beautiful but would you put your child in the back of one? If not than why put a dog in one? Ok, I'm done ranting. I was in the Sams parking lot when I saw these beauties and I pray no harm came to any of them.
I was in the local Sams parking lot when I saw these 4 pups in the back of a pickup and so well behaved, only one of them barked.

They are lovely dogs. It has to be dangerous for them to travel there.

The law won't allow a person to travel in the back of a pickup but that law does not cover animals unfortunately.

@rebelann I have an idea that here dogs have to be restrained on the back of utes (pickups)

@rebelann You'd need to make the leash short enough so they couldn't go over the side.

@rebelann There are many pickup trucks here, but haven't seen anyone put dogs in the back of them.

That is good news, at least people there either do not have dogs or they respect their dogs.

I keep praying that one day there will be a law that bans allowing dogs or other animals from being transported in an open pickup truck bed

I pray that is true because if one area has a ban then eventually more areas will do the same.

Why can't the administration of the city stop them to do this. Animal activists too react.

Hopefully there will soon be a law that will ban any animal from being in an open pickup truck bed but so far the only thing banned is people in a truck bed.

Exactly. I think a lot of bozos are showing off their dogs without considering the dangers or else they don't care.

I can feel you. In some parts of my country, it is not allowed humans or pets at the back of a pickup truck. I hope the owners will realize this concern.

Here it is illegal for people to be transported in the back of one but that law does not extend to dogs or other pets.

That is a terrible way to treat a beloved pet. Terribly dangerous, like you mentioned if they hit a pothole or bump the dog can fall out but also, if they are in an accident the dogs can perish.

I think there are fewer people who do this in this day and age because I haven't seen any roadside victims in the last several years but there are still those who don't seem to care.

Yeah, if dogs hang their heads out to catch the wind then anything could happen to their eyes. I'm just glad I don't have a pickup truck ..... well, not really, I could use a pickup sometimes for hauling the recycle bags to the recycle center

It seems to me the idjit who owns them wanted to show them off and to those kinds of dogs that day was probably pretty hot given their triple coats ..... Its a shame there aren't more laws to protect pets from abuse.

I used to see a work truck that probably belonged to a ranch. Very little room in the back of that open pickup due to tool boxes and such. Always had a Blue Heeler hanging on back there by his or her toenails, too. Made me mad and worried every time I'd see them barreling around a corner.

I hope those that drove that truck got stuck in the back of a pickup while someone drove crazy, that aught to scare them some.

Yes, there should be a law against it but so far this country loves dogs but won't do anything to protect them from this kind of 'abuse' ..... I realize many dogs love to go for rides and if they're on a ranch or farm this might not be so bad because the trucks they're in aren't going that fast plus if they do either fall or jump out the ground isn't as hard as a pavement like a typical road or an interstate.
