Hello, everyone.Hope everyone is doing fine. It's been almost a year since I post discussion. I had gone gone through a lot when I was from mylot. I had faced many issues which kept me away from mylot . My grandmother fell down and she got fractured last year February. It is really painful to stay in bed for these many months. Her fractured leg is okay but she can't able to walk anymore . She can't do her own things due to the weakness and no strength.
When we don't walk we get many complications being in bed without any mobility. She is in depression and cries a lot daily. Being a heart patient my father is taking care of her and my mother too.He is going through difficult phase by saying his mom.I do take care of her while my father is out .
It's really sad to see her facing this issues at this age of 88. She was very active person before she fell down and there is no major issues with her health like heart or diabetes.
Many of my relatives saying to my father that God should take away her soon instead of bearing all this suffering. I don't know how can they say that . I can't even pray for God to take her away even my granny asks to do so in depression. I want God to give her strength to overcome the issues in bed .Even doctors said she couldn't able to walk due to her age . I have that hope still she becomes normal.
Do you agree with my relatives asking God to take her away because of sufferings she has been going through ?.

One day she lost conscious due to the sodium down levels. Our entire family was worried that day we thought almost lost her.I tried my best to bring back her into conscious. I realised that day God wants her to be alive. Between who are these relatives to speak like that ?

@Icydoll I heartily pray to God to bless her with earliest recovery and relief from pain. But your relatives too want the same for her;but they have lost hopes of her recovery.

It is never an easy thing to think about, but sometimes there is truth when someone says, "so and so is now in a better place," when they die. And this is coming from an atheist who does not believe there is an after-life. IN life there comes a time when one is merely existing, not living, and when that time comes, sometimes it is better to let go. Both the person deep in suffering as well as the people who love them.

I agree with some of your lines but She still has the hope to live .She asks for us to do streching excercise. Usually in depression she asks God to take her away.
But relatives should give her positive support instead of saying like this against Gods will. What happens will happen,we can't stop that .

I'm sorry to hear that. But I don't agree with having to do that, because it's like being forced to die. It's better to just pray that you will be given a speedy recovery, don't give up easily, nothing is impossible if God wills.

It would be in the interest of all if God took her away.

Maybe you could encourage her and tell her jokes, laughing with her Icydoll
I am so sorry to read this.
Yes she has years ahead, not to go away too soon
I am glad you are here with us once again.

I'm so sorry to hear about your grandmother. Are there exercises that she could do that would strengthen her? Is she able to get into a wheelchair? I'm not surprised that she is depressed and I know it is very tiring to have to care for such a person.

She is doing some stretching excercise but nothing seems to be working. She is not in a position to sit in wheel chair also we need atleast 3 members to make her sit .
My dad and mom has sleepless nights to look after her .
Pray for her recovery Judy .

thanks Icydoll one should not pray to God to take away the life of an ailing person. A human life is a precious life. Instead one can talk with the grandmother and see that she has a good company

I don't think they should pray like that. In my opinion, they should support her, give her joy, help her and the people who care for her. My grandmother did not walk in the last few months before she passed away, everything had to be done with her, she was fully aware of what was going on. But no one thought of wishing her gone. Everyone who could help and gave her at least a minimum of joy they could give: a smile, a joke, a stroke, saying how he heard birds singing today.
