We just have 8 coconut trees and they are all yielding We manure them once a year and use our own compost plus salt. I planted them as a hobby and now we get to sell coconuts. The only problem is getting someone to pluck them . These guys disappear. At the moment the coconuts are falling and the plucker has still not turned up. The gardener keeps collecting those which are falling Gardening is not a smooth sailing activity but pros are more than cons Do you like gardening?

In my area, it is fairly prevalent. There will be coconut trees nearby everywhere you walk. They are highly excellent tree climbers because there are no branches to grab onto when you climb one of their single stem trees, so you have to be skilled.

@allknowing Oh wow, I have not seen machines that does that. Climbers are common in my place. Most farmers are able to climb those trees with ease. I am no good at that though

You would have to be careful not to be hit by a falling coconut. I hope the plucker turns up soon.

Wow! Do you have any mango trees? I love mangoes. I would like to try my hand at gardening. I'm going to try to grow an avocado tree.

Yes, there are dearth of pluckers nowadays for coconuts here in my place too. They seemed to have taken up a different trade.
