A sweet moment this morning.

With Horse Jr. gone, I don't interact with the people in my apartment complex as much as I used to.
Horse Jr. had a young friend named Astik, who really looked up to him. They traded Matchbox and Hot Wheels cars and played outside.
Though Astik, I got to know many of the "younger" Indian kids living here, including Adity. I hope I spelled that right.
Horse Jr. is now a wise old man of 14, Astik is probably seven or eight, and Aditi looks like she is five.
This morning, as I was returning from an errand, I heard Aditi saying, "Hi, Horse!" I returned her hello and asked if she was "going to school." Her mommy was there smiling.
Adity said "yes" then asked, "Were are you going?"
I told her that I was going to school too, except that I was going to teach.
In the Winter months, the parents and kids here are not out as much (cycling, etc.) as during the Summer months. It was good to know that Adity and her mom still remember me and are comfortable saying hi to me.
I am easy to please.
I'll try to find a picture of Astik and Adity in the back of my truck.

I hope you're still keeping in touch with Horse Jr. I miss hearing about him and what he's been up to lately.

@TheHorse Before I stopped taking lessons, my teacher was having me make up my own songs. (My teacher passed away and we couldn't afford another teacher. Our teacher had us cutting brush on her farm to pay for the lessons.)

He's 14 now and mostly interested in his video games. He's very bright but thinks school is "stupid." He hasn't really talked yet about "girls." When I was 14, I as interested in sports, music, and girls. And math. And stereo gear.

@DaddyEvil What were your favorite things to play on the piano? I had quit by then, but took again for a couple of semesters in college.

I'll attach a song I wrote about a friendship gone bad. You may have already seen it. Some remember. Some forsake.

@LindaOHio In general, I don't think I am. But I think some see my perfectionism as being "critical." Not the better musicians, though.

@TheHorse I can maybe see picky; but I have trouble imagining you as snobby.
