Optimist Day

United Kingdom
February 2, 2023 3:56am CST
Today is Optimist Day . This is a relatively new celebration as it only started in 2019 when a cider company decided to celebrate a day of the year when optimists could get together. As I do not like drinking cider I will not be celebrating with them today. I do try to be optimistic about things every day but sometimes anxiety takes over and I end up looking on the black side of everything.

This is a nice day to know . As humans we can't always have optimist view ,we all face anxiety and think negative in our low times .

@Icydoll I used to like cider when I was young, but now I cannot drink it at all. I don`t know if my taste changed or perhaps the cider producer changed their recipe and it was not so good.

It can be difficult to stay optimistic all day every day. I think mostly I'm an optimist.

@lazydaizee I have a very easy life really. It would be very ungrateful of me not to at least try to be happy.

@JudyEv This is nice to know. I know people who have very easy lives but they still find time to complain about everything. I think that some people are never satisfied and they just want to be miserable and find fault with everything.

I also dislike cider, someone said that an optimist is someone who does not read the news in the morning.

All these special days are just odd. The other day I found it was apparently international zebra day as well as hot chocolate day!

@lazydaizee If you liked zebras I still don't know what you would do in particular on one day that you wouldn't do any other day.

International zebra day would be interesting for people who like zebras. I like zebras but I do not think I could spend a day celebrating them .I have not actually seen many zebras only in zoos.

We try our best to be optimistic but sometimes we fail when the stresses of life get to us.

It is nice to be able to look on the bright side if we can.
