Giving Away My Money

My morning started with coffee (as usual) and once my eyes opened and my brain started working I got out my checkbook and started paying bills.
Some I can pay online like my HOA which was due yesterday but they were having a problem with their site so it went through this morning.
The checks I'm writing are for more fun things like the water bill and property taxes.
At the end of the month the fun will continue when my house insurance is due.
So, I'm hoping I can offset these expenses with my myLot earnings.
I'm an optimist and I never say never

Our bills were paid, and we are watching the new ones come in - especially the huge assessments. Bills never seem to end and all we can do is pay until we die
Be thankful you can afford to pay them. So many are losing their homes right now.

A new month and new bills the never ending cycle of life
I am thankful every day for being able to afford my house and the upkeep. I'm always so sad to hear when people are struggling and losing jobs, homes, etc.

I am just thankful that we are able to pay the bills. Waiting for an estimate from the sewer company to dig up the back yard.

I hope digging up the backyard isn't too expensive even though I'm sure it won't be cheap. Sounds like you don't have much of a choice with your sewer problems.

@Marilynda1225 Nope. No choice. He's already checked out the lines under the house.

It's always nice to get bills out of the way... I still write checks for some of our bills but Pretty goes online to pay others. It all comes out of our checkbook, so it doesn't matter. I just have to remind her to write the amounts into the checkbook so I can balance it once a month.

@Marilynda1225 People running registers often don't know what to do with a check when handed one. Sometimes I write one in Walmart and I have to explain how to use it to the cashier.

I don't write many checks anymore but I still keep a check register just to make sure I have everything accounted for. Sometimes I wonder if the day will come when checks will no longer be an option for paying.

@Marilynda1225 Isn't that crazy?
I have us on a longer budget since he is retiring soon, so it probably will not be the first time that I do that.
