I am relaxing tonight. The hardest part of my week is over. So finally, I get to say so: I'll print this one out and lay low . Notice that I coordinated my text with the rhythm of the song. Choosing songs for students is not easy. I don't want to be too political, too romantic, too religious, or too confusing. Do you agree that this beautiful song also pretty harmless? If you were a guitar teacher, what song would be the first that you teach?

@TheHorse When I was in school I had a diary where I would write lyrics of all my favorite songs. When I shifted to a hostel I could not take all my stuff and dont know where the diary disappeared. .

This sounds a good choice to me. I'm not sure what I'd teach first. I guess I'd try to find something they could relate to. This reminds me very much of 'I'm Just on the Blue Side of Lonesome'.

I teach some songs that everybody knows, like Twinkle Twinkle Little Star, even to grown-ups. But then I am torn between really popular songs, like John Denver's Country Roads, and less well-known songs, like the one I posted here.

That's a nice song. I don't know what I would pick. Probably something too complicated like a late Beatles song or Queen or something mellow like the Carpenters or Seals & Crofts.
