Saturday Morning Brief

Good morning. The temp is a balmy 13 F (-11C) and feels like -2 (-19C) this morning. Compared to yesterday at this time, that's a heatwave. As cold as we got yesterday, it is nothing compared to New Hampshire which is experiencing wind chills as cold as -106. Right now they are the coldest place on the planet with record wind chills. They are even colder than the Arctic this morning.
I had a good start to the day. My Bible study is finished. I played my game, and the laundry is finished. I only need to fold it and put it away.
I also finished my breakfast and a chapter each for Where Eagles Soar and Destination Love. Yes, I've been up since 2:30 AM. It is now just after 8 AM. I also walked one time around the hallway.
My plans today are to catch up on my notifications. I have well over 100. I will do my best, but my back will determine how long I sit here.
I also plan to get more work done on both books. I need to if I'm going to publish them this year.
It would be good to have the notifications finished today since I'm not here on Sunday.

41F at 11:15 am, heading for a predicted 49F by this afternoon. I hope it reaches it and melts off the snow and ice. Pretty wants to go grocery shopping but I'm not going out if the ice is still on the roads.

@just4him We hit 51F today and most of the ice is gone now. Just protected areas still hold ice.
We don't need to go shopping. We have enough food stored in the kitchen and garage to last for months. We're just out of things Pretty prefers so she wants to go shopping. We didn't go today. My eyes are swelled up too much for me to drive. Hopefully, the swelling will go down by tomorrow.

@DaddyEvil What caused the swelling? I hope your eyes are better today.
It's good you don't need to go shopping. However, you need to satisfy your daughter's need to shop.

You had a busy morning.
We just finished up with supper, taco. We're watching some tv and I need to read some more for my Sunday school lesson. I don't teach tomorrow, there are 2 of us who teach. That makes it easier for both of us. For a long time, it was just me teaching. I'm doing a lesson through the book of Galatians.

My day looks like one where I will stay home and stay wam. I think it is about 18 currently, which may not seem cold to you, but it is for us.

Good morning, Valerie. As I read your post, I so wish that you could give me some of your snow. Two regions in my country have such big fires that they cannot yet control it.
