Ice cream for breakfast

United Kingdom
February 5, 2023 3:28am CST
The first Saturday in February known as `Ice cream for breakfast day' it is an informal holiday that was first invented in the 1960s. I have never tried eating ice cream for breakfast although I do enjoy it any other time of the day. My favourite flavour is Vanilla. If I did want some ice cream for my breakfast I think I would be more likely to have it in the summer rather than on a cold February morning.

Somebody was asking about eating ice cream in the Winter yesterday or the day before... I'll eat it any time. I like Vanilla Bean or Salted Caramel. (I just don't eat ice cream very often.)

This must be a popular subject for discussion. I like anything with salted caramel but I have never tried it as a flavour in ice cream. We often have ice cream as a topping with another pudding instead of making custard or another sort of sauce. It goes really well with hot puddings .

@lazydaizee I've never eaten ice cream with pudding. I don't like pudding. I do put strawberry syrup on the Vanilla Bean ice cream once in a while, though.

@DaddyEvil That sounds nice. Many people that I know do not eat puddings, I always have one after dinner , but maybe I am greedy. I have a sweet tooth and I like to eat something sweet after a meal, however I do try to eat healthy puddings made with fruit to help with my five a day.

I could have ice-cream any day too. Vanilla is my favourite too. Salted caramel seems to be the 'in' flavour at the moment.

Yes, salted caramel seems to be everywhere these days in all sorts of food. I only heard of it a few years ago.

I like ice cream, it does not matter the season, but it's not something I want in the morning with my breakfast, not even in summer.

@lazydaizee We never eat cereals, usually it is toasted bread with jam, yogurt or fruits, or an English muffin with cream cheese.

I have never thought about eating it at breakfast time. I stick to porridge, cereals or toast.

I ever tried to eat ice cream for breakfast, not went well for my stomach. Perhaps because ice cream is cold. I prefer to have some hot water in early morning even it is summer

I suppose cold ice cream first thing in the morning would be a shock for the body.

Yum. A guilty super fantastic treat is to pour a little honey on vanilla ice cream. Rich and wow.

That sounds like a nice treat, I like honey on my porridge instead of using sugar.
