Are you afraid of general anaesthesia?

I am an anxious person. I had one general anaesthesia when I was one year old. I cried a lot and they had to do more anesthetic. I am terrified of general anaesthesia. I will have to do one soon, but I don't think I am able to do it. I feel too anxious. I don't know what to do. I am in a bad place. Sometimes I am thinking to avoid it at all costs.

Just think good thoughts and try to calm yourself, I've had six surgeries and the anesthesia was no problem.

Did you have a tube into your mouth and down your windpipe? This scares me a lot.

@dya80dya Yes, that's to keep you from choking. I think they use it in every surgery when you are put you to sleep.

Do not feel afraid. If you are anxious they will give you something before to keep you calm and relaxed. You will feel nothing and when you wake up from the anesthesia at most you can feel a bit nauseous and confused.
