Ready to Move

Do you ever feel like you just need a change, a change that only relocation can bring? That is where I am at now. I am very thankful for the home with which God has blessed us. But I have also wanted to move from here for the past 5 years or so. I may sound as if I am complaining, but I am not. I am just letting my thoughts fall out of my head. There are a couple of reasons that we should not even consider moving: 1. Our house and property are completely paid for. 2. We would be leaving all the hard work and love we have poured into our small fruit garden. 3. We are old, and I don't feel like packing all this stuff up. There are several reasons we should consider moving: 1. Finding a newer home that doesn't require so much upkeep. 2. We could move closer to the church my husband pastors. 3. We could find property that has better soil for gardening. 4. We could get away from our druggie, irresponsible, obnoxious neighbors. (but then we may end up with worse). 5. We could purchase a place with more land. 6. A fresh start away from bad memories would be great. (my dad died here, heart-break dealing with kids -not my biological but those I have taken in from the past, family members & friends who have turned on us). It just seems appealing to move without telling anyone and start over fresh. OK, after writing this, I have talked myself out of moving. Just gonna be thankful and make the best of where we are.

Those are good reasons to change homes, for me, I live in a small apartment by myself and it's convenient to everything I need. I have no reason to move.

Although, I would love a change, the thought of packing up makes me tired. We will probably just stay where we are.

I´m planning to move too. I will sell my 2 story house and rent a small one story one. It takes time to find it though.

@gnatsmom I have been using only the first floor for the last 3 or 4 years.

I used to want a two-story house. I am glad we did not buy one. Now, I realize it is much more convenient having everything on the same floor.

@gnatsmom We bought the house then had it rented out for four years before we made the big move. I spent those four years downsizing and still had a ton of stuff to deal with when we did start packing keepers.

We should keep our priority first and make decisions. I hope that you made a right decision

I will pray about it. Right now, we won't move. I don't know if we could get enough from our current property to pay cash for a new place. We dont want a morgage.
