The first time I saw this!

At the weekend I went to the local pub with some colleagues, and there I saw a young couple having a quiet drink together. Nothing unusual in that except that the woman had obviously undergone treatment with lip fillers.
Although this kind of thing is all over the celebrity ‘news’ and may be common in big cities, around here I have never actually seen anyone looking like this before. It looks even weirder in real life than in pictures.
I wanted to sneak a photo, but couldn’t manage it as most of the time she had her back to me. I also wanted to ask whether her lips still felt normal, and whether she could actually close her mouth! But of course I couldn’t.
But I still don’t understand why anyone would do this to themselves

I wish I knew the answer of why anyone would take surgery to change the looks they were born with in the first place.

Some people look really pretty with it. My lips are so thin I would love it if it was just a little it added and it was free. I saw a girl that I was friends with when we were kids has it done as well as a nose job, and implants. She looks so different I actually thought she got hacked. She looks incredible but very different. In the photo you shared I don’t really see a difference in size one just looks like it has lip gloss on and on doesn’t.

A friend of my niece had lips with filler and also had fillers on her face to look younger. She looked horrible when you were close to her. I did not dare to touch, but my niece told the that the face had a "weird" texture, not at all the normal skin you expect to feel.

I have never seen anybody with this in real life only on television. I expect it costs a lot of money and most people will not be able to afford it, or they would not want it done anyway.

After seeing her I'm not tempted. Also cosmetic treatments are not regulated in the way medical procedures are, but nowadays cosmetic treatments are getting more and more 'medical' with injections of all sorts. I wouldn't be keen on any unnecessary procedure and certainly not administered by some untrained person in a beauty salon.

@Fleura I would not put myself through having anything done on my body unless it was affecting my health in some way. The thought of somebody tampering with my lips gives me goose bumps especially if it involved needles.I do not even like going to the dentist.

It's typically do to insecurities people have in themselves. We all have body parts we wish we could change or just don't like. It's normal.
