Double Income No Kids is an option many choose these days. While it could be a hassle free life my feeling is that it makes the couple a bit selfish unless they do some charity with the money they earn. There could however be genuine reasons in that the woman would have health issues and so cannot give birth. Also not knowing what is in store for future generations looking at the world today they may not want to take a risk and bring forth kids. What is your view on this?

I don’t think anyone who doesn’t want children shouldn’t have them. The world certainly doesn’t need anymore people, and those with illnesses (mental or physical) risk the lives and health of their children.

If the thought is about the uncertain conditions for future generations that seems ok but there are some who think only of themselves

@allknowing I agree. My younger son feels that way, too.

I think everyone has to make their own decisions. I don't want to see a child being raised by someone who doesn't want it

And many are opting for this and as you said it is better that way than having a child that is no loved

I think some people just don’t want to be parents and I think there is nothing wrong with that. It isn’t for everyone and better people don’t have them who really don’t have a desire for them then to have them and not take good care of the kids.

@allknowing and those are the ones who surely deserve one and will take amazing care of it. It’s so sad how some people try so hard and can’t get pregnant and others just don’t want the one ones they have.

Actually, I think that if a couple wants children they should go for it but be prepared to raise that child with lots of love and understanding in this crazy world. I can also understand those who do not want to bring children into this crazy world,

A lot are having their family later in life too. But certainly many seem to be choosing not to have kids.

My view is that the people that have no kids have peace.

Only those who have opted for that situation, as it is natural for human beings to yearn to have their progeny

I have two adult children that do not want any children and I told them not to have any. It is their life to do what they want with.

We had no kids, it was a personal choice and I never felt "selfish" for doing this. I preferred not to have children than having a child and giving the baby to someone because I had no time to take care of him. Babies are not objects, if you cannot take care of them, it's better to plan to live without children.

It is not always for selfish reasons that couples choose the DINKS concept

@allknowing When our niece needed our help and we were almost retired, we took care of her as she would have been our daughter.

I have two nephews who got married three years ago. They don't want to have kids because they do not want to bring children into this crazy world. They prefer having pets.
