Laugh and get rich day

United Kingdom
February 8, 2023 4:22am CST
I saw this and I did have to laugh. Laughing and getting rich are two things that we all want to do. This day was created to get people laughing because laughter is supposed to be good for us. So why not have a laugh today and maybe you will feel richer.

@lazydaizee There really is a day for everything it seems. I was always chuckling at "Pancake Day" but this one actually makes me laugh. The laughing part is easy. Just waiting on the getting rich part now! Thank you for sharing. Never heard of this before.

I think we will all be waiting a long time for the getting rich bit, but at least we can have a laugh while we wait.

Being happy is like being rich in some way. Maybe if you are happy in other ways , you do not care about money so much.

May be that later I will find a reason to laugh. Surely it was easier to laugh when I was a teenager and had no problems at all.

@lazydaizee I know that I laughed a lot when I was young, I still laugh now, but it's not the same.

I hope you find a reason to laugh. I think young people were more able to laugh when we were young, nowadays most of the young people I see always look miserable or they are shouting at their phones.

@LadyDuck I think we find things funnier when we are young because we are less sensible.

Well laughing is something that we, as adults, often don't do enough. When was the last time you had a really good laugh?

@lazydaizee We laughed over 'Just a minute' on the radio earlier, but real 'laugh-until-you're-staggering-about-and-tears-come-to-your-eyes' moments are pretty rare, which is a shame.

@Fleura This is a shame that we do not get to laugh like this very much, but something would have to be really funny to have this effect. I also wonder if some people have lost the ability to laugh. I once had a friend who would not laugh in public because laughing made her feel too self conscious. She would sit through a film at the cinema and everyone else would be laughing but not her.

I did have a good laugh yesterday because I was reading a funny book. Before that, I do not remember when I last had a good laugh. Whenever it was, it was not anything memorable.

I’m laughing now, but all I received was a belly ache.

You must have been laughing really hard . I once laughed so hard that I got a pain in my side while talking to somebody on the landline phone. There was a cross line and somebody strange was joining in our conversation, she kept asking me who I was.
