Paducah Parte Tres

Okay, so it is not actually part three because I have been posting in between. But it is still a post pertaining to my wife and I's trip to Paducah.
We stayed at the La Quinta, a part of Wyndham, at 3960 Coleman Crossing Circle.
Why include the address? I mean, why not? myLot is a public site with stuff showing up in search engines. Maybe that brings in some extra traffic if someone types that address in?
I am doing a service for myLot I guess, in a way. Not really. Who am I? Just a Porwest who is sometimes considered to be one "completely full of himself."
It is what it is.
If you wanted to know, my hat size is 6 1/8th, which is rather small when it comes to hat sizes. Meaning my head is small. But, I still have a rather large head of course.
Ahem.
Anyway, I thought I would mention that the hotel was fine. Of all the Wyndham brands, La Quinta always seems to be the most consistent, and it has been rare to find a particularly "bad one."
Not like Super 8 or Days Inn. I don't even bother with Days Inn anymore. The Super 8's can be like a "toss up." Just roll the dice and see what you can get.
But the staff was very friendly and very accommodating. I appreciated that. The room was nice and we were fine with it. The price was not bad at $135 a night after fees and taxes.
The only problem we had? The toilet apparently was not cleaned. How could it have been? We arrived to find a load in the toilet. Yep. A load. Poop for anyone not sure what I meant by "a load."
I left a note about it but that's about it. I did not feel it was worthy of a major complaint or asking for another room. The rest of the room was fine. If Wyndham ever asks for my thoughts, which they often do, I will let them know.
For whatever that is worth.
It was not a "deal breaker" for me, and I was like, "whatever."
Beyond that I will say that the coffee offered was a local Paducah fare and honestly it sucked, but I still had several cups of it because...well, it was free and it was all I had.
Other than that, our two nights at the La Quinta at 3960 Coleman Crossing Circle (address reiterated for good measure and searchability) was fine enough, and I would recommend any other cheap bastige in the Paducah area to spend some time there.
Image is of the two of us on the rocky shore in Grand Rivers, Kentucky after we encoutered that eagle that would never come down from that damn tree.

Unfortunately, I’ve also encountered a load in the toilet upon checkin, and this was many years ago at a Disney resort. I did complain about it, because the toilet was broke and wouldn’t flush. They had maintenance there to fix it within minutes, and they did not charge me for the room for that first night. So that load worked in my favor.

@porwest You sound like you were really laid back about the issue. I’m usually like that too.
The only time I have ever made a huge stink about my hotel room was one year at Disney when I went to my room after checkin, and when I opened the door there were two people sleeping in my room. Needless to say, Disney comped my entire hotel stay.

Oh, for sure if the toilet would have been plugged, they'd have gotten a call. It was a mere minor inconvenience, and the wife was more worried about that I was.
I am sure I could have gotten something off on the room had I pushed the issue.

@moffittjc THAT would be a big issue. Yeah, I know around here I am pretty boisterous, but in real life I am a pretty simple guy who prefers not to make a big stink out of certain things. If the fish I have to fry fit in the pan, I just do what I have to do and move on.

I would have had a stroke about the toilet. They would have had to have someone come in and clean that toilet or give us another room. That's a great picture of the two of you.

@porwest I'm freaky about bathroom cleanliness. I avoid public restrooms whenever I can.

@LindaOHio I will avoid them like the plague for #2. But not for #1. And when it comes to a hotel, you are a bit captive.
