What am I Irritated About Today?

Ghee! Let's see. (This is opposed to the things I am thankful for.)
I haven't griped for quite a while but.....
My survey site went down a few days ago. I was bummed cause I actually had the energy to do these and all my Mylotting, and several other things I do daily online. It was back up the very next day. But, now it's having problems again. Grrr!
Our family friend came for a visit earlier. Good to see him. He's the one that was going to move in with us but wasn't able to. So, he is our hands-on helper around here. He oversees the housekeeping and had been here a couple of weeks ago and brought the sad and maddening fact to me that my daughter is lying to me about keeping up the house. I love her like crazy but she is a horrible housekeeper and a big-time liar. And, her son feels bad for her and so he isn't truthful either and doesn't do much to help her. He just asks if he can help her with anything and she just continually says no. I told him that my daughter is not a leader. She'll say no but he needs to look over the place and lead her to what needs to be done. It's not like my daughter is weak or feeble. She's just lazy!
I just can't believe it.
I used to hold down a very stressful job full-time. I also wrangled her daughter around from age 3 until about 14 or 15. She was a real problem child. I also did the cooking, shopping, and all housekeeping. That's while my daughter was off being homeless, doing drugs, yada, yada and more yada. It was a horrid time but I did it. Now my daughter is lying about keeping the kitchen clean.
So my grandson and my daughter are down in disgustingly dirty land. They'd better have it clean in a while too or Granny is going to go ballistic!. It is like I repeatedly tell my daughter--if she would just eliminate the dirt and scum then keeping it up is not that tough. But, now because she hasn't kept it clean she has to scour it until it sparkles first, then she can keep up on it.
Sorry folks. Just needed to vent a bit.

I know I'm not the best at housekeeping myself . . . I know what you mean about just getting to a point where you just have to maintain rather than deep clean each and every time. Vent away . . . I know it makes me feel better to just get it all out!

I don't go in because I know it's going to be dirty. Several years back I had to eliminate as much stressful stuff from my life as possible.( I was dying from stress!) I have compromised and have been as lenient, caring, and nice as I possibly can. I can't stand for filthy, moldy, kitchens. I won't compromise on that!

You can keep a house keeper as you own the house. Why don't you stay in that house?

@aninditasen .........We rent an apartment. We all live together. We don't own a house.

Maybe it could be overwhelming for her. A lot of people suffer with that problem.

Exactly. I told her if she would just get it CLEAN then keeping it up is just a few things done each day. Now it is there and it'd best stay that way.
