Garbage In Garbage Out

I don't know about others, but I am continually appalled at the posts people put on social media. The profanity is prevalent, and the crude sexual posts are disgusting and disturbing. What appalls me is that most of what I see comes from people who claim to be Christians. The Bible specifically gives guidelines for how believers are to conduct themselves. It is also very clear about how the mind is affected by outside input. You cannot continually consume trashy entertainment and filthy language(whether it is tv, books, music, social media, news, commentary) and it not affect your mind and behavior. It says much about one's character when they are not bothered by the vulgarities with which they fill their mind. Also, posting Christian memes and statements after posting filthy ticktocks and jokes is an even more disturbing behavior. One more thought, for those always wondering why they can't find a faithful, wholesome, moral, devoted man or woman: here's a thought- you attract what you put out. If you express a garbage mind, well then guess what kind of person you are going to attract?
