In order to get the full benefit I decided to grate the raw beetroot and have it in curds with a touch of sugar I have posted about this a few days ago. What took me 10 minutes to eat the grated beetroot took me more than an hour to chew/bite it I would rather forego a few nutrients and save my precious time. Back to steamed beetroot

I prefer them seamed or, even better, baked in the oven.

Baking would be a better option as the liquid will not ooze out

@allknowing We usually make them baked, we wrap in aluminium foil and bake in the oven. They are easy to peel once baked.

My teeth wouldn't cope with this. I'd have a sore mouth from so much chewing. But at least you tried to do the best thing.

One of my neighbour gave us dosa for breakfast. They have added beetroot juice in the dosa batter . My dad liked that very much but I didn't dare to eat it. Have you tried this way?. I Think some people also add carrot to Idly. How does grated beet root goes with it

When you add carrot or beet with the batter it cooks. Grated beet with curds with a touch of sugar tasted good but it took me a long time to finish it
