How to use ChatGPT to write a discussion at myLot

It is very simple.
DON'T.
I just removed another member that went from consistently writing discussions of three or four lines of passable English to a pair of missives written today of four paragraphs each in perfect English.
And yes, I know it was ChatGPT because yesterday he posted a photo he'd created with it and said "I made this with ChatGPT what do you think?"
I am making this official (and please share this so everyone sees it):
myLot is a site for original discussions written BY YOU. If I find you cheating to write your discussions here you will be banned and you will not get a second chance.
Even though I am not very fond of short discussions, I would rather see a three-sentence discussion YOU wrote than a large 'article' written by a program.
myLot is NOT a writing site, we do not pay you based on the content of your discussions, so there is no reason to try to 'cheat' here. It is not going to improve your earnings.
I hope this makes it very clear how I feel about using ChatGPT here.

It's rather silly (in my opinion) - 18 discussions written like the top example, and then 2 today like the bottom. And they think people aren't going to notice something?

Oh ... I didn't even know ChatGPT can be used to write posts here. How ignorant can I get. LOL
I, however, wanted to know more about it, because there was an article saying it will help to bring down litigation in our country. Hope that part of it is true and worthwhile. :)
But thanks for letting me know what is not ok here on myLot. I am too slow with technology to adopt it so fast, and try to cheat. LOL

@GoAskAlice Thank you for letting me know about this new tool. I don't think I would have ever used it though, whether to use it or otherwise.

Using ChatGPT to write a discussion is no different than copy/pasting any other discussion not written by the member. I'm afraid that this is going to be an ongoing problem here and at any other site that wants 'original' material.

Thank you, hopefully it stops the "Oh I didn't know" excuse from people (even though it should be evident it is not allowed).

@DaddyEvil Thank you for suggesting me this, I know ChatGPT is really hot these days, but I for now have had no chance to use it. I heard the AI software (I'm not sure if it is really a software or a platform)is really smart, but if somebody who tries to make money by asking it for help should be punished. Thanks again.

I am very happy that you made this announcement and made it very clear. It's been happening on other sites too and quite a few have been warned and banned.
Thanks @DaddyEvil for suggesting it.

In the beginning I really wasn't worried because since this isn't a writing/article site I figured no one would use it - but it appears I was wrong.

@GoAskAlice Even I found it surprising when other admin on the other site brought this issue on platform. It's a forum site where people interact in 2_4 lines and you need not use a fancy language there. You just have to write in a way that others understand it. For such simple tasks, people used ChatGPT. It would be more work to use a program for such simple thing.

Now that would be horrible if they programmed random typos or the occasional misspelling into it - don't give them any ideas!

I'd read a few articles (written by fellow admins of different sites) about how it was going to change the field of writing - and not in a good way - for free-lancers, the reasoning being why pay a writer good money for an original article when a site can simply have them custom-written by an AI much cheaper. At the time, I thought "Well, surely it won't be a problem here, it isn't serious money". But I forgot how greedy people can be.

@GoAskAlice I question if people will use it to write on other sites like NaNoWriMo. People are going to go crazy with it. I am so glad that you told us about ChatGPT being soulless. Real writing is often passion, hot a bunch of concrete sentences.
I wonder if there is a way to certify that we. as authors and writers, do not revert to using any of the bot sites.

Thank you@ladyDuck for suggesting this post.
When l first heard about ChatBot GPT and wrote a discussion about it titled " What is Real and What is not" , l had not realized that persons had already started using programs to write discussions here - until @GoAskAlice mentioned it on my post, and warned that persons who did that would be removed from Mylot.
I am happy about this post which can be seen by everyone, including newbies. Cheaters are not encouraged at Mylot.

Thanks for the suggestion @Anna. As AI gets more matured, it gets even so more difficult to detect spammers and riggers. I look at mylot more as a therapy site rather than a passive earning source and I wish these ill elements are kept out from our systems for good.

Unfortunately many people have no scruples whatsoever when it comes to 'earning' money on the Internet. This ChatGPT makes it a little more complicated to notice when things are not actually written by a person, but it makes it easy (in a way) to tell when some people are using it since the writing style changes drastically.

I had one member in here I was pretty sure was using it, and they tried to tell me they had a 'friend' that was writing their discussions for them. Of course, that also will not work here since it is a site for self-written discussions (and I seriously doubt their 'friend' was the one writing them). Since I told them only their own work was allowed here, they haven't returned...

Honestly using an AI program is the same as plagiarism - someone else (in this case an AI) wrote it and a user pastes it here claiming they wrote it themself.
But I've watched users go to the trouble of searching a subject, copying three lines, and posting it here for a discussion. I've seen one-sentence responses that were copy/pasted. And all that just to earn a penny or two?
Some days I just have to shake my head.

@GoAskAlice It is very belittling to both the admin as well as to the rest of the members.
I think that if someone is really that set on their earnings, they go about it in the way it was intended, or if they need more, maybe a resume/job search site would benefit them. Most of us are just here to chill and relax and enjoy a few laughs together.

@GoAskAlice Yes she is and thank you to you as well admin Alice. I seldom post discussions but would regularly be around and comment on posts I find interesting. You know this kind of made me miss His highness Scar and Emoci again. You know, Michael Joseph Ratcliffe. Forgot his username here because he's had so many. He used to always suggest to me together with @LadyDuck. Thanks to them.
