Anyone with thyroid issues here? / myLot

I am not feeling up to the mark these days - fatigue, palpitation and sweating now and then. I checked the Internet and that happens if the Thyroid malfunctions. I did blood work out this morning The guy turned up at 6.30 as for the Cholesterol profile I had to starve. I also included sugar, hemoglobin and Thyroid. Vince had part of his thyroid removed back in the late 1980s. He's had no trouble with it since touch wood.

Never heard of anyone living on a thyroid that is partly removed.

@Judyev why did he need his cut out? My first husband had to have a huge portion of his removed that had grown way to large.

@shaggin The first thing was a swelling in his throat but that went down very quickly. Maybe it was overactive. The swelling just started one afternoon, he went to a doctor and next thing he's in hospital.

I do not have thyroid issue. The father of my husband had the thyroid gland removed. After surgery the risk is to develop hypothyroidism, but he had a normal life after removal.

@LadyDuck I will get my reports by 5 this evening . Till then I would not know what is ailing me. My dry mouth is a nuisance. I keep drinking water. I also had severe cramps a couple of days ago the worst ever leaving my limbs weak. It will take time for them to get back to normal

@allknowing - I know that there are medications for the thyroid, surgery is not necessary in most cases.

It is very common to have thyroid issues. I think @daddyevil has a thyroid condition but don’t think it would be the same as yours. I think @DesirousDreamer mentioned having one too. My first husband had one as well called lymphocytic thyroiditis. His thyroid grew so large it was blocking his airway and making it hard to swallow even peas without choking.

@shaggin My other test reports will come by this evening but I think this Lab does not have the facility for Thyroid testing and perhaps they have to send it elsewhere. I will wait.

I do not have that issue with thyroid that I know of but..So did they tell you this or just you thinking it might be the thyroid? In any case sorry this is happening. I can totally relate to the not feeling well. I wish you a good day soon.
