We’ve been away during our long weekend staying with friends in Jensen Beach, Florida. Had a great time with them and even went out on the ocean in their friend’s yacht. Almost got seasick, but didn’t.
Our 13 year old grandson called to thank us for his birthday gifts. He returned home after well over a week from hockey competitions in Quebec, Canada. He celebrated his birthday with his teammates on Valentine’s Day, cake and all.
His hockey team played many games, although they were expected to get kicked out during the first. Thanks to all the saves our goalie made and great playing by his team, they made it to the semifinals.
Not too shabby. He also did all his schoolwork while there.
He said that Quebec was freezing cold off the ice and is happy to be home. Btw, he’s the taller kid on the right

Cute kids. Thirteen? Teenager now. Ooh!
I've always wanted to go out on the ocean on a sailboat. I've been on the lake here but not on the ocean.

@celticeagle Well, I hope when you go, you don’t go with a lunatic who races with any sailboat he sees and partakes in the Newport Regatta 
. We stopped sailing with him right after that last episode. He and his wife are good friends, my kids went to school with his kids, he played the saxophone with our younger son in our house, read the X-rays when our older son broke his arm and gave us useful information, and to top it all off, he lives near my younger son’s house and walks his dog down his street. A nice man, but don’t go sailing with him ever!

@rebelann No, he has no interest in modeling. He's too busy with sports, school, and his friends and not necessarily in that order
The doctors believe he will be 6'3". That's more than enough tall in my opinion. I like men 6'0' to 6'2' or less. Too tall or too short isn't good in my opinion.
Btw, he's a great actor and loves performing in school and in camp shows. He's also a good comedian

His coaches were very surprised, too. The team works hard and are good together.
My grandson has wanted to play hockey since he was 2 years old. He used to go to all the hockey games at Madison Square Garden in NYC. He started skating when he was about 2 and begged a coach to let him play with the 8 year old kids (beginners), because he didn't wear diapers anymore
The coach let him play, but the big kids were too rough for him until he turned 8.
In a game we were at, he begged to be goalie and one of the 2 goalies was absent, but the coach told him he had to take lessons first. So he did and still goes to goalie camps and takes lessons. He's pretty good for a skinny kid

@LadyDuck Thank you, Anna. He also loves tennis and horseback riding, but has no time to pursue it now. Besides, his dad is going broke from these sports. He will play tennis in the spring when hockey ends and do every sport he likes at summer camp. I wasn't into sports when I was a kid.
