Customer Service Crisis

My husband and I decided to take a weekend trip to the beach and just get away for a couple of days. On the way to Florida, we stopped off in Pine Level, AL to shop at a place called Sikes and Kohn's. When we lived in South Alabama, I used to try to shop there every two or three months. However, since I don't drive that way often or I don't have time and money, I have not shopped there in about ten years. So, today, I decide to check it out again. They had so many cute clothes and shoes and at somewhat decent prices. I settled on a pair of cute jeans, with floral embroidery on the bottom. I wanted more but needed to hold on to our money for the beach.
When I got to the register to check out, the young female cashier was on her cell phone. She had to stop and put it down to check me out. There was a lady behind me with two shirts. I am assuming she got behind me because I had only 1 item. The other cashier had a customer with a stack of shoes and some other accessories. The young cashier started trying to force the lady behind me to go to the other cashier. She kept glancing at her phone. She spent more time trying to get her to move over to the other register, than just checking us out. The lady, politely, declined and stayed where she was. The cashier started "mean mugging" her, and then threw my bag at me. That girl wanted to get back to her conversation on her cell phone. She is, basically, wanting to get paid for texting on her phone.
I reported her. I hope she gets fired. That may sound mean, but if you are not going to offer courteous, efficient customer service, you don't deserve the job.

I agree with you since my former employer at Domino's Pizza said to treat the customers we serve with courtesy since they pay my salary even if they act like jerks.

When I worked in a Drus Store I was the only one that could have a cell phone on the floor. The cashiers were not allowed to be on their cell phones unless they were on a break or taking lunch.

Glad to see that they accept personal checks too. Personal checks is uncommon here especially in malls.
