ep, I sure did. Why? I have to have a working computer in my life. It opens up my small with all manner of opportunities. We recently upped our upload capacity on the internet. I thought it was about time and, with my grandson's games and me wanting to hurry with research and such I felt it was sure time. Only $15 for 1000mgb.
But, right from the get-go It was not what I expected. My issues had to be because of the new change, right? I would boot up and right away the page was freezing, stuff wouldn't load, etc. So frustrating when I had so much to do.
We got this new 'upgrade' on the 15th. Immediately I was having issues. In talking to my grandson he said that he had heard that it takes a few days for it all to get in sync. So, I waited. Yesterday I booted up and immediately I could not do anything. Usually, it would slowly get better but not now. It was getting worse instead of better. I called my grandson in and he started checking things. I mean this is a new computer. Why am I having issues? And especially after we made this 'upgrade'.
He found that the computer was starting up too many things at the start up and it was becoming overwhelming. (Poor computer. I know the feeling well) So he has me check the tasks first thing when I log on. Wait until it has leveled itself out and then I can bring up Microsoft Edge and get after it.
Works fine now. So I have learned that even the newbies get stressed out. And, once again I am so thankful to have my grandson at my beckon call. Hehe

@kaylachan .........I've had a computer and been online for so many years I can usually figure out the basic stuff but I have to call my grandson if it gets too bizarre.

@celticeagle I'm a bit of a tech nerd, so I can solve most problems. Doesn't mean I like it when I have to.

I hate upgrades. Firefox has been badgering me to update for months now but I've been ignoring it.

Oh, good! It's hard to diagnose issues when I can't look at the actual computer having the issues. It is a good think you have him right there and ready to help!
