The week that wasn't meant to be

I wrote about having all sorts of exciting things happening this week but they have turned into non-events unfortunately. Another example of Man proposes but God has other ideas – or something like that.
Firstly, Vince came down with an infection which necessitated a night in hospital. A side-effect of the strong antibiotics has been dizzy spells so we opted out of the fancy lunch we’d been invited to for tomorrow. Our friends were able to invite two others so that was good. Then the trip to the motor museum, which was to have been today, didn’t eventuate for much the same reason and also because it was forecast to be very hot which it is.
I went to the movies at the clubhouse on my own last night and saw The Devil Wore Prada. I enjoyed the show but would never, ever want to work in such an environment.
Vince stops the nasty tablets on Friday. He is due to take more cricket photos on Saturday so hopefully the dizziness will have ceased by then.
The photo is of some models of farm machinery at another museum. Aren’t they cute?

I'm sorry your week didn't turn out like you'd hoped. I hope Vince is well on his way to mended now...

@JudyEv I see... I could see one of my older brothers collecting them along with the old model tractors he collected but I wouldn't know what to do with them.

Yes, life is unpredictable. Hope Vince will be fully recovered soon. I enjoyed the movie The Devil Wore Prada. Meryl Streep is a very good actress.

I am so sorry that Vince isn't well; and I'm sorry your plans had to be changed. I hope he feels better soon. I've seen Devil Wears Prada probably four times. Yes, the models of the farm machinery are cool and cute!

@LindaOHio They put some sort of screen behind her then superimposed the background or whatever. It's interesting reading about the film. There's a great screed about it on Wikipedia.

Oh my, I hope your week gets better. I hope Vince starts feeling better. They’ve got me on antibiotics now too for this lung problem.

@JudyEv I usually do pretty well and about side v effects but some v they have v given me hot me sick.

Antibiotics come with side effects. Hope once the course is done with Vince will be fit and fine to join you.

I am sorry for Vince, I hope he is find now and he is recovering. My best wishes to him.
My niece worked for a while for Donatella Versace. Every day she told me that she felt like in the movie "The Devil Wore Prada", she did not stay long, she had enough after a few months.
Those models of farm machinery are beautiful.

I'm so sorry Vince is sick. Hope he'll feel well enough to take the cricket photos.

Sorry to hear about Vince and hope he's feeling better soon.
Like you, my supposedly busy week has been postponed until next week. I'm not complaining as I'm enjoying the quiet. I haven't seen that movie in a long time.
