Peppie's partner is pregnant

She is not our cat but visits us every day and waits to be fed. I see her all ready to deliver. I do not want that responsibility and only hope she does that where she belongs.
Earlier she used to visit us just in the morning but now I see her here almost the whole day. I now feed her twice - she feels hungry all the time - mother to be after all.
Peppie leaves some of his food for her and watches her eat He is in love with her and there is no doubt it.
Would you let someone else's cat deliver at your place and take on the responsibility?

Cats take good care of their babies usually. So I don't pay any attention

@wolfgirl569 I cannot stop feeding her. You would also feed her when she comes and circles round your feet And Peppie wants me to feed her too(lol)

Yes, I would.
And then I would be sure that every cat was either spayed or neutered, and the kittens as well. I realize in many other countries this is not the normal thing to do, however with not enough homes for domestic cats and dogs, it is the humane thing to do. To constantly have pets giving birth is just not the best scenario. I have worked so hard over the years in pet rescue. Not enough homes and too many pets, it's a constant problem.

@MarieCoyle I admire folks like you. I hate seeing animals scruffy and hungry and diseased due to there being too many. Sad.

The numbers don't really change, Lenore. Still only 2 out of every 10 or so puppies born get a REAL home. Many get adopted or sold or given away, but the people who get them do not want to put the work in a pet to make it a good pet--housetraining, manners, vet care, shots. So, they quickly tire of the pet when they realize they have to spend time and money on it, and it ends up in the shelter or in rescue. It's very frustrating. And, in many cases, deadly, as they don't have enough places to take them.

My only problem is what if owners come to know?

@allknowing First it would be important to know if the cat has an owner. In this case the owner should know that the cat is pregnant and near to deliver.

@LadyDuck I am not aware who the owner is. The cat does not survive on what it gets here and so surely she has a house.

Here cats are not kept inside homes but they roam around . Peppie must also be doing the same. We have had many strays visiting for short periods but this one has been here for a long time. I really do not know where she lives.
