Peanut butter pie

I have a habit of buying ingredients, then not using them. I had read a really easy recipe for peanut butter pie. I have had the ingredients on hand for Christmas. I finally made the peanut butter pie, and I will certainly do it again. That was dessert after hubby made us grilled ham and swiss on sourdough bread. Talk about ingredients on hand, I have some yeast in my fridge. Who knows how old. I am proofing some of it now. I think it is still alive. Guess I may make bread or rolls today. I am off work. School is closed for a teacher day, I believe.

I'm glad it was easy to make. I hope the yeast is still good.

It did not have quite enough oomph to raise a loaf of bread. I will check into it more another time.

Schools will be closed next week around here for March break. And, I hate to say it, but your pie looks like something that could be found in a pasture, if you know what I mean.

Not dark enough in my opinion. I guess I could pipe some whipped cream around the top.

I will probably double the recipe and just put a crust on bottom to serve at Easter.

I hope you enjoy your day off today. The dinner your husband made sounds good and the pie I can imagine was delicious. I’ve made many peanut butter pies and they are always tasty!

Could not get the result I wanted with the yeast. The pie makes up for it.

Peanut butter pie sounds decadent and yummy Enjoy your day off from work and homemade bread or rolls will certainly make the house smell good as well as be delicious. I've never tried to make my own. I'm notorious for buying ingredients and then not making stuff

Peanut butter pie - sounds intriguing. I am trying to use up some things before we leave for Ireland at the end of March.

It was so easy, too. We are making 8 servings from it because it is so rich.
