The little bugger won't leave

Photo I took of the critter on the hummingbird feeder bottom

When I went to get the hummingbird feeder to bring it in and wash it, this little bugger was inside the feeder. I unscrewed the bottom of the feeder and dumped the rainwater out. I must have shaken this guy out onto the bottom of the feeder, which I left outside. It's been several minutes, and the thing won't leave. I moved it and the bottom of the feeder to the table on my patio. Hopefully it will dry off/get its bearings/whatever it needs to do and finally fly away.

That looks like a yellow jacket. You don’t want to let it sting you. They have long stingers.

Fortunately, it's since flown away.

@xstitcher Yellow jackets are hard to get rid of unless you swat them.

If there was any sweets left in the feeder, he might have gotten drunk on it.

Yep, it was crawling around inside the hummingbird feeder before I opened it.

@xstitcher Good, it didn't drown then. Did you manage to get rid of it?
