River

The river is high

The river is really high now. And with all of the rain you would think we have enough water. But we are still behind on the water. The beaver is back again. He will probably start to build a dam again. Last time they took him higher up but give him a few months and he comes right back. He will be evicted from his nice home again and it will be torn down and he will be taken back up the river. It is fun to watch him build his dam. It looks really nice. I just find it amazing how the dam is hard to tear down.

@jstory07 I see..... But we also know that animals has great sense and nose. They will remember their first home. I say that's why the beaver return to the same place.

I feel sorry for the poor beaver. Why can't people learn to live in harmony with nature.

Beavers are clever. The conservation people reintroduced Beaver to a few rivers here in Scotland We went to see them two years ago. Really amazing builders.

I wonder why the beaver doesn't build his dam up higher. I guess maybe it's another beaver's territory.

It must be. The wild life people said the beaver is getting older. So he might not being building damns anymore.

In my place back in the country I really hate when the river is high because it usually overflows and causes some flooding in our farm.
