What Do You Think Makes A Great Leader?

What is it that compels others to follow? To me, there are so many reasons and qualities. Even if a person is wrong, having charisma can lead to followers. We all know this happens. Look at history.

I don't really know what makes a good leader as I rarely follow anyone, I kinda like doing things my way.

Yeah, that's just it. Often those so called 'leaders' have somewhat fun personalities but I sure as heck wouldn't follow what they're doing.

@rebelann Well I would catch them when I see them online like enjoy their antics..but I am not a person that can be brainwashed that is for sure.

Honesty is no 1 for me since I have experience bad things with honesty. Others, are leader who are willing to look at the bottom and not just look up.

I don't know about a "great" leader, but a leader who can get people to follow them is likeable and persuasive - charismatic as you say. They know how to communicate to win the hearts of people and can get them to eat out of their hands.

A great leader is not necessarily someone who can get many followers. Those who have charisma (like Steve Jobs) get followers. Was he good? May be not as much as people think, but he knew how to convince people.

A great leader should be charismatic, have a vision and a strong will. S(he) should also be courageous and honest.

There are some people that are born leaders. Even they not leaders but you can easily know them through the way they talk, relate and handle people,

Yes they are always so confident and stand out from the crowd..usually. Of course there are mean leaders too.
