I can’t remember if I’ve shared these photos before or not ? I know the before photo I have. We replaced the old rotten deck this past September. It’ll be nice to sit out on it and grill some of our meals. The old retaining wall under the deck needs to be restored on a future trip. It seems like it’s taking forever to restore the home. In December it’s been 20 years, but a few of those years we couldn’t go to the house and we can only stay two weeks at a time. We’re getting closer to being done. Just if a ton of money would fall out of the sky.

You were talking about restoring the deck last September but you hadn't shown us photos of the finished deck yet. It really looks nice!

It took most of our time there to tear old one out and build new one , so we didn’t get to sit out on it. We’re bringing chairs for the deck that belonged to my parents. Our car is tiny. (A Ford Fiesta) Next trip up we’ll bring the table that goes with them.

@Tampa_girl7 Ford Fiesta? My little Toyota Echo might be smaller. I love the gas milage, though.

Just the deck is. The house is on a concrete slab. It’s built into a mountain side.

Wow on the difference. That before picture looks very dangerous to live with. Congrats. My little front porch is going to cost quite a bit to fix- 500.00 for just floor boards then two days of labor. Total ouch. We can still walk there and have chairs etc. there but the boards for sure are getting iffy. I sure love the look of your improvements.

Well I hope a ton of money does fall out of the sky for you.
I know it won't
But it's the thought that counts.
